Clara DENT was born in Berlin and grew up in Salzburg (Austria). She began her oboe-studies with Arthur Jensen at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and, under the tuition of Günther Passin , graduated with a master’s diploma from the Hochschule für Musik in Munich.
She is Prize-winner of the ARD Competition in Munich and the Intern. Competition in Geneva. Clara Dent also won the international stipend of the Kulturvereinigung in Munich.
She performs as a soloist with many renowned orchestras and has had numerous solo performances recorded for CD and radio. Her solo albums („Les Folies d`Espagne“, „La Primadonna“) were highly praised by critics.
She is the principal oboist in the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1999. Clara Dent has taught oboe since 2005 in Munich and Augsburg, and since 2009 as professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Nürnberg. She furthermore gives international master classes in Europe and Asia. As a chamber musician she is invited to festivals all over Europe.
Magdalena STEINBAUER was born in 1997 in Munich. She started to play the violin when she was 5 years old. Her teachers were Jorge Sutil and Vadim Sandler in Munich.
She went to the musical school Pestalozzi Gymnasium where she graduated in June 2016.
In 2011 she started to take lessons in oboe at Irene Draxinger. From 2013-2016 she was a member of the scholarship “Studienvorbereitende Abteilung” from the “Städtische Musikschule” in Munich.
Magdalena Steinbauer played in orchestras like the Bavarian youth ensemble for modern music, the “Odeon youth orchestra “and the “Prinzregentenensemble”. She is a member of the Bavarian youth choir, where she gets singing lessons at Tanja Elbert.
She is a prize winner of the German youth competition “Jugend musiziert” in category oboe solo. Since Oktober 2016 Magdalena Steinbauer is studying oboe in the class of Professor Clara Dent-Boganyi at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg.
